ALEX RUIZ LEE
A CAREER WITH MORE THAN ONE CHAPTER
My own path has taken me from telecommunications and consulting to business strategy, HR leadership, and running my own consultancy. Along the way, I’ve worked and studied across Europe, North America, Latin America, and Asia.
Those moves have required me to explain how earlier experience connects to a different role, industry, or country. That is often the same challenge my clients face: a strong background that needs a clearer explanation for the next opportunity.
Before founding ARLee Consulting in 2017, I was Director and Head of HR at Samsung Electronics Mexico. I previously worked in global HR and strategy at Samsung’s headquarters in South Korea.
That background informs how I read a CV and approach an interview: what is the person’s contribution, what evidence supports it, and how does it relate to the role they want?
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU
Work that feels routine to you may demonstrate leadership, initiative, or an important improvement. We’ll explore what you did, the context, and the results you can support.
A clear CV makes choices. We’ll decide what to emphasise for your agreed target roles and explain the relevance of experience that may not speak for itself.
In interview coaching, we practise how you introduce yourself, discuss career moves, and use specific examples to make your answers more convincing.

HOW WE WORK TOGETHER
You work directly with me. For written packages, we start with a structured questionnaire and your existing materials. I ask follow-up questions, prepare the first draft, and work through your feedback with you.
Most communication happens by email, so you can reflect on questions and review the wording in your own time. An optional short phone consultation is available within written packages.
Interview preparation is a two-hour live session, with feedback and practice during the call. We agree on the scope, timing, and fee before you make a payment.
SUPPORT FOR YOUR NEXT STEP
From an overdue CV update to a specific application or an upcoming interview, we agree on the right scope for your situation.

My background is Spanish and Korean. I’m fluent in English, Spanish and Catalan, and conversant in Korean and French. Random fact: In 2023, I interpreted between Korean, English and Spanish for the K-pop girl group Red Velvet at Primavera Sound in Barcelona.
I love trekking: the Salkantay Trek to Machu Picchu in 2010 (65 km in five days), and the Camino de Santiago in 2012 (800 km in 25 days) and 2020 (300 km in 11 days).
Badminton in Korea, squash in Mexico, and tennis at Club Tennis Masnou. Racket sports have followed me across countries, and tennis has become a serious passion.
Working out is a big part of my life. I train hard, run 5K and 10K distances, and I’m now preparing for my first half-marathon.
I play electric guitar and drums, and I’m a big fan of progressive metal, John Petrucci and Jason Becker. I’m also fascinated by mixology and trained as a bartender and mixologist at New York Bartending School.
I’m a web programmer working with PHP/MySQL, HTML and JavaScript. I built this website, as well as ARLee Consulting ↗, MBAessayDB ↗, and My Video Interview Prep ↗. I enjoy turning ideas into practical tools that help people prepare.
